Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
